Joo Chiat Family Dinner 22 Mar 2009

Celebrated sis bday and had a Family Dinner on 22 Mar 2009 at Joo Chiat's Lau Hock Guan Kee Bak Kut Teh....total cost was $92.40...Bus 16 goes to this place.... Overall, the food isn't too bad...but be sure to go early at about 6.30-7pm...anytime later than that and you'll have to stand there and wait.. JP Foodcourt-Mini steamboat @ $4.80

Ate the Mini steamboat which costs $4.80 at JP Foodcourt.... Hmm, I don't really like it as the food wasn't that nice..but I think its worth it because the portion's big and the fire was still burning even after I've finished the food :)

Lucky Plaza Desserts-Purple Yam and Leche Flan - Feb 2009

Source: The Straits Times Been wanting to try these two desserts for a long time ever since I saw the "ad" on the newspaper...I LOVE desserts!! finally went to buy them back to eat at home, haha.... Hmm, I felt the Purple Yam was a bit bland while the Leche Flan was VERY VERY sweet (Too sweet for my liking)... Leche Flan Purple Yam I ate the Leche Flan before eating the purple Yam so maybe my mouth still had that SWEET taste which sort of "covered" the taste of the purple Yam... Hmm, maybe I'll go again one day to just try the purple Yam only and see if its indeed bland... but when it comes to anything- be it food, fashion etc, everyone has their own opinions so maybe some others may like it...If anyone who is reading this has tried the above two desserts, be sure to share your opinions with me. A trip to Holland V - 8 Feb 2009

Went to Holland Village on 8 Feb 2009 with my family and these are some pics I took. Enjoy! I ate at a shop which sells Katong Laksa and Nasi Lemak. I ate the Nasi Lemak...I liked the rice because it wasn't too oily. A picture of the plate of Nasi Lemak I ordered opposite this shop was the Provence bakery & Cafe When you're there, be sure to try out Provence's Chocolate and cream wassant.
